Thank you for your patience
You have probably noticed that my website was out of commission for nearly all of last week and then in Maintenance mode for most of this week.
I realized that my hacking issues were not solved so I took it down myself for repair and security reasons.
I have been trying my best to stay positive , but it has been a real struggle for me lately.
July was not very good to me or The Alluring Bead Boutique.
Thank goodness it is August and I am still here.
It seems like every time I have something new to launch, something always comes up and slows me down. I had been planning to launch my new YouTube memberships and had just announced the news when all my troubles started.
I won’t get into all the details in this post on what it takes to clean up a hack. But it is fairly complex and takes a lot of trial and error, figuring out how the hackers actually gained access to your site.
Believe me when I say, that Covid 19 has nearly destroyed any semblance of quality support at this time. As many support agents are working from home and are reluctant to escalate cases to the next level of support. But luckily I did receive escalated support with part of my problems.
For much of this, I was on my own with mountains of online articles and videos to sift through to teach myself much of what I needed to know.
The whole experience has left me completely underwhelmed. I have had a lot of anger, frustration, and depression to deal with.
To think that all my work for the last 3 years on this blog could disappear overnight is horrible beyond compare. But rather than cry about it, I have spent the last few weeks learning how to take care of things myself.
As I write this note, I have all of my content and my database completely backed up.
I removed any suspect plugins and themes first.
I changed all my passwords and cleaned up all my files.
In effort to remain positive during all this strife, I decided to take a few steps to fulfill on of my larger business goals. As you know I recently moved all my patterns and technique guides to the shop here on my blog. I had decided to turn my jewelry site into it’s own clearly defined, line of business.
I am happy to report that my new jewelry site is nearly finished and has been totally revamped into Alluring Jewelry.
While I was at it, I added a new subdomain called Alluring Brands, that will be coming online before the end of the year as well. I plan to move my business and brand building line of work to that site. I will fill you all in as I move forward with the work.
In the meantime, we will be back to beading and so much more next week.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as I continue to grow an develop this blog and business. You are the greatest followers ever.
Thanks for listening and I will see you back here next week.
