Last Week, I had to play Catch-Up on my Website. I listed a load of new Jewelry Items in the Shop for the Holidays. I had a small Craft Show the last week of November. Read on for December’s Coupon Code.
I have made a few sales and that makes me very Happy. My website Hosting is up for renewal on January 6th and I am working very hard to come up with the cash flow I need in order to stay here on Siteground. I may wind up transferring the site to another Host if I can not reach my goal.
With all of this on my mind, I found myself having trouble sleeping …. but not to worry. I have found a new focus for myself and I want to share it with you.
I signed for a free 14 Day Trial on Craftsy.com and I have been trying to get in at least 3 to 4 hours of class time on that platform. I am checking out as many of the Jewelry classes as I can so I can decide if I want to pay 14.95 a month for the Unlimited Membership in January.
I will be elaborating on this very much for the next few weeks here and on my YouTube Channel. I am working on 2 new videos today and hope to have them available before the end of the week. In the meantime, you can checkout My newest Skillshare Class:
I also have a few new ideas on Planning my Schedules and where to share my Tutorials next year. As most of you know, I have classes available on Skillshare.com and I have had a tiny bit of Success generating revenue. But I am trying to decide if the effort it takes to create those classes is worth the small amount of cash I make from the Platform.
And then there is YouTube. I am proud to say that I have developed a pretty decent following now. I passed the 1000 Subscriber level a few weeks back and am almost up to 1200 now. The drawback is that I do not really make any revenue from that Platform. I have been posting videos for 18 months and have yet to receive a penny of Advertising revenue from Google. My website is just starting to take off with enough traffic analysis to verify where my visitors come from. So I have to think very hard about where to devote my time next year.
When I started this business, I knew that I had to allow a certain amount of time and a lot of patience in order for the expense to create a value to my business. I allowed for a 3 year curve. And I think this is very reasonable amount of time. Afterall, I am still learning and perfecting my craft. I also like to try new techniques and materials, so I haven’t really found my “Brand Signature” so to speak.
But now I am very close to the 2 year mark and I have to really buckle down on making this business more than a very expensive hobby.
What this means to my Followers is that I am going to have less time to focus on Free Tutorials than I do now, unless I can figure out how to convert the free tutorials into cash, say with Pattern Sales or some other unknown variable, such as Kits, which I have not offered yet.
I am considering retrying my Patreon Platform along with Skillshare to see if this would be beneficial to me. But once again, that takes more time.
So as you see, I have quite the Conundrum and have a lot of thinking and planning to do before the first of the year. I hope to have a working version ready by December 31st.
I am going to be traveling to the NC Coastal area to spend Christmas with my beautiful Daughters and my Precious Grandson this year. I will be spending a few days by myself in Greenville, NC and believe it or not, I am really looking forward to that. What a perfect time that will be to get my plans organized and refined.
I plan on leaving the Beads and Tools HOME! I am only taking my Laptop. I am not sure if I will have a nervous breakdown or not, but I really want to get my business and Schedule in order. So no shiny Distractions are going with me.
December’s Coupon Code is HoHoHo20 – Save 20% on Jewelry and Patterns and Free US Shipping.
Please note, the Coupon Expires on December 16th since I will not be home from the 17th – 29th. I will have my Jewelry with me for shipping for any late shoppers. Normal Subscriber Discounts will still apply.
Watch for Something really Special on December 12th to Celebrate my Birthday …..
